The souls capacity to harness darkness as an expression of love and light &nbsp; It started off with seeing shapes and colors that didn’t hold a specific meaning or a resonating feeling, but then what began a journey that took hold of my whole being, was the passing thought of my husband. Just as quickly as the thought came to me, a wave of emotions swept my body and heart and I was feeling the depths of my husband’s soul like I never did before. (To preface, along my spiritual journey, we have drifted apart and I wasn’t sure what I thought about our future together). In a moment I was overtaken with pure sadness, desperation, insecurity and being scared, scared of the unknown and the thought of losing me. Just as I felt the depth of sadness in his soul, that he certainly wouldn’t verbalize in any other way, a wave of compassion overtook me. I suddenly felt like I needed to be there for him, that his journey isn’t over and that I needed to support the frail inner child that he was. A feeling that wasn’t there prior. Once that realization of compassion took hold, I was propelled into a tsunami &nbsp;of emotions that would take hold next.In an instant, I suddenly felt like I was the collective consciousness of all the indian tribes that were massacred and wiped off the continent during the trail of tears and the conquest of the west. I was ALL of them who suffered, who lost their lives, who lived to tell and were left in anguish. &nbsp;I felt their souls suffocating with pain and sadness for those beautiful light-filled souls that were destroyed, and a culture that was depleted never to return again. I had the understanding that the perpetrators &nbsp;knew how loving and pure we were and they did it anyways. I could hardly breathe as the whole consciousness of their people became me. I felt the darkness and sadness and aguish fill my womb in a vastness of space. I saw myself as a void that held all of it. I asked myself why am I doing this, and an answer came to me “that I hold this darkness and anchor it, so that others can have joy, happiness and experience pure love, that this is part of what my soul purpose is”It was then that the collective &nbsp;consciousness of the indians dissolved within me and I felt the core of my souls journey. I didn’t see a specific past life, but I felt the emotions that my soul has endured over the course of its incarnations, through many past lives. I felt that my soul had suffered so much, that I’ve lost so much, my children many times over, my family, anything that ever meant anything, taken from me time and time again. I felt I lived many lives where I was physically abused but that I purposefully put myself in those positions to keep my siblings safe. I felt like a vacuum of sadness from all the lives I lived. And so in desperation after feeling the anguish of loss and hurt, I &nbsp;said to myself “ What are you still doing here? How are you still here with all this pain?” and then an answer came and it felt like the universe was expanding and the stars started to shine around me. The answer was “because I am source. Because I am strong.” And as soon as it was said to me, I understood it, and remembered it.I then experienced glimpses of other realms, &nbsp;lifetimes and universes I have existed in. I remember being a leader in India that at my passing, I felt all the love and sadness from my people that prayed to me and missed me. I became a deity/saint of sorts that they still prey to and miss dearly. In the same moment, I felt my love for them and their love for me. I remember being a warrior/god in another realm/planet where I fought for my people in galactic wars, where us beings were connected spiritually and &nbsp;mentally and therefor they knew I fought as hard as I possibly could but ultimately knew when the fight was lost, so were all our lives and the planet with it.I then experienced a realm where all the people including myself, who were doing this psychedelic journey together, were all gods. I remember thinking of each person in the experience and realizing they were me too, and I was them. That we were all the same. This realm was all of us but in a place where joy, happiness and a surplus of abundance was embodied. There was no pain, sorrow, loss or sadness here. We were laughing hysterically and thats when a thought was expressed to me “we have done this so many times. We have been here before and we keep doing this to ourselves”. That we get much joy from experiencing other lives, and there isn’t such a concept of bad or good. We basically want to experience the light and dark, as those experiences then get put into one reservoir for all of us to learn from. They get transmuted to source, and since we are all source, we all benefit and learn from it all.&nbsp;I understood then that my soul wanted me to feel the dark depths of my soul first, to truly understand that to know love in its purest, is to know also suffering, loss and pain. &nbsp;I had fleeting thoughts of all the people I look up to in this incarnation and what they do for humanity and how I wish I was like them and could impact peoples lives as much as they do. And each time I thought of a person, I saw myself in them too. I understood and now understand we are all one.- Ashley

My third ceremony. It started with less hesitation and more of a plunge. I finally broke through and experienced a 3+ hour journey. I found myself sitting, laying down on my back, and in other yogic positions—partly for body comfort and to help me channel in better. I did what came naturally to me as I was engaged with what I saw with my eyes shut. I started with the intention of letting go and just surrendering without expectations. In my journey, a lot happened, and some items I recall better. I remember two specific parts more because they were just so absorbing. It started in nature. I saw hills and trees. There was my dear dad. Coincidentally, he had passed away precisely nine years prior on this very day of the ceremony. I saw him here again as an older person but suddenly I also saw him morph into a younger middle-aged person. He smiled, and we hugged. I remember hiking around with him.&nbsp; Looking outward together, I saw the rest of my family in the distance: my wife, kids, and mom. We smiled again at each other. After a bit more hiking, we suddenly saw what looked like a funnel, shaped like a vortex or a narrow tornado that reached beyond the eye’s distance into the sky. It was so colorful and beautiful. Within my journey, I remembered what I read about the universal consciousness, and a common theme in spirituality is how our being merges with this consciousness. I couldn’t help but wonder if this vortex symbolized this. I told my dad, “Watch this trick and follow me.” To this point, it was the only time I remember saying anything to anyone within a journey. I reached out with my hand into the vortex and saw my body pixelated into particles and merging into the vortex. My dad followed, and we were pulled in! I could no longer see us as we rose, but I knew he was with me. We looked down and saw my family roaming around. They were not looking up at us. I believe they were carrying on with their day. Everything became distant as we went deeper into the sky. This vision was so intense that I snapped out of it and opened my eyes. I changed positions and closed my eyes but could not return to that place. It felt so special to reunite with my dad in this other world. A little later, I had another vision. It was only eight days since Hamas attacked Israel, with so many reports of death and injury in Israel and in Gaza since then. I was particularly bothered by those events and the human condition in the world in general. In my vision, I found myself on the road somewhere in the middle of that conflict. There were spirits in the air that may have been the casualties of this horrific event. There were many terrified and in panic running on the ground. A man near me was crying. I went to console a couple that were in tears. I did not know any details about their loss or what they experienced, but we embraced each other in warm hugs. We held hands, and others came and joined us, all holding hands to shoulders tightly. It wasn’t just them; the spirits of the dead, who looked more ghostly, joined together. This union kept growing, and the line of beings in this embrace went beyond what the eye could see. All those lined up started losing their human image and morphed into a long distance of colorful, braided rope. This rope contrasted with everything else, resembling smoke and dust from the war and violence. The braided rope reminded me of the vortex that emerged earlier in the night with my dad. I looked at myself and couldn’t see myself, just this rope I was part of. I wondered if this also represented the universal consciousness. I felt an immense sense of the power of belief and the hope that it brings. I felt a deep sense of empathy being part of that rope.&nbsp; Meanwhile, back in the room, I had lost all touch with where my human body was positioned, and I found myself forehead down in my pillow and on my knees, just shaking. I leaned back in lotus position against the wall and just stared at the playful lights on the ceiling, so blown away and humbled by the experience. - AC

The Vortex

My Spiritual AwakeningWhat started with curiosity led me to Sacred Shroom. After weighing the benefits and risks, I decided to go for it. After two sessions, I have improved my understanding of myself, people, and my outlook on life. I had not realized I had so much bottled up inside of me that was creating a block spiritually. The shroom experience brought me to my knees. It was so overwhelming, and after looking deep inside, I realized there is a need to let go to experience the journey (and spirituality in general) the right way. Let go of control, let go of the ego, let go of expectations, and let go of any preconceived notions of the world itself.What I was able to experience on the journey was out of this world. When the music played, I found myself one with the music as if I was composing each note, each sound like I was walking one step through the wilderness on some great hike. I’m there with family and friends, and I see them smiling. It truly can be a beautiful experience. I am still learning and understanding. It seems everyone reacts differently to the shroom experience. Some comfortably go into a deep meditation. Some see excellent benefits at the onset. Some need to work through issues at their core that are not addressed adequately before progressing in the journey and transcending. After the sessions, I already feel a heightened sense of awareness, an increased empathy for people, and value in being spiritually centered in the seat of the Self. I’ve seen enough that I know there is another beautiful world to learn from. My spiritual interest is now the highest it's been in 30 years.On recommendation from VC, I picked up Michael Singer’s book, “The Untethered Soul.” I finished that book, inspiring me to read the sequel, “Living Untethered.” He has a way of conveying the message and sharing insights that have always existed in older spiritual texts but are more accessible to the modern world.&nbsp; I’m also now paying more attention to other spiritual masters, like Sadhguru, dusting off my old Jiddu Krishnamurti books, Stoicism, and even thinking about Bible and Hindu passages I run into with a new perspective. That channel to the spiritual universe is opening for me, and I thirst for more wisdom. I asked VC, “Am I having a midlife crisis? Is questioning my previous assumptions normal?” He related to having grappled with the same questions and that this is part of the journey that shrooms can do for a person, opening those spiritual pathways.I value more than ever that a greater good comes out of meditation, spiritual teachings, and religion. The shroom experience is not the only way to find transcendence, to “see the light,” but it certainly feels like a faster track to make spiritual progress. It is more than I’ve ever been close to experiencing.My friends look at me and notice a change in my behavior. I am getting asked, “Are you okay,” as if something is wrong with me that they would like to help me through. Maybe they have a right to wonder and ask that question as they observe when I turn stoic and quiet. On the contrary, I am more okay than I’ve been in a long time. I don’t think it’s a spiritual crisis, but maybe more of a spiritual revolution. Something is starting to wake up inside. I’m beginning to realize my true self; there is much more to understand and process to get there.I plan to return to Sacred Shroom to go further down in my spiritual journey, to truly understand my essence, my true Self, to be enlightened and gather insights from the larger universe, and most importantly, to do so with an open mind and no expectations. - AC

Im amazed that eventually I got to hold my sitting position like meditating for a couple of hours then eventually at the end I lay down. 😂So going in deep, I remember there was a moment that id want it to stop because it gave me series of recent memories but in a fast forward phase and it almost feels like its a simulation of the current events which were so vivid but there is no feelings. I even asked myself at some point if it was real. And when I removed my headphones and do some breathing, the feelings linger then suddenly it was like so slow. I wonder maybe it gave me a glimpse of having no purpose feels like or being empty. I dont know how to explain accurately. Then afterwards, I remember being a mountain amd hugging something below. It was so serene. The air feels like water on my fingertips and its inviting my hands to move.&nbsp;Overall experience was fun. More like a vibration or just an awareness without a form… i remember how light i felt.. as life has the weight of decisions and history and consequence.. life has weight… and i was weightless…&nbsp; its rare for participants to have these experiences so early.. &nbsp; i encourage you to think about what makes you uncomfortable? And why?&nbsp; Can u imagine being at peace and still curious if u are anything? I think youve got the right term of I felt which was being weightless. It only made me uncomfortable because Im used to being connected with my travel and having emotions. This time it feels like I was just passing by and merely observing without being affected. With you explaining it that we can be without a form doesnt scare me but made me more curious and now im aware the possibility of it.&nbsp;My fave part is being a mountain. The experience is calming and almost feels like cleansing. I'm a Mountain

It was my friend's 50th birthday and all he wanted as a gift was for me to do shrooms with him.&nbsp; &nbsp;It was a small stem, maybe just 1 gram.&nbsp; We had done shrooms recreationally like this many years before in Vang Vieng, Laos.&nbsp; It was an interesting experience, but I wasn't dying to do it again.&nbsp; So anyway, I ate it.It changed my life.The first thing that happened though, was after some short time, I puked.&nbsp; &nbsp;I felt it coming so went to the bathroom and experienced one of the most violent and physically intense vomiting sessions I've ever had.&nbsp; &nbsp;I became aware of sacrificing breathing to vomit and vice versa.&nbsp; Strangely, inside I was calm despite it being quite scary-looking.&nbsp; Afterwards, I felt I was now "ready".&nbsp; For what? I didn't know yet.When my eyes were open, the world seemed to be filled with little glyphs.&nbsp; It was like I was swimming in a pool of tiny symbols.&nbsp; I could still make out shapes and colors and people, but they were composed of these symbols.&nbsp; I felt if I got too close to something else, my glyphs would merge into whatever I was close to.&nbsp; I decided to sit down and close my eyes.What followed next was the idea that I was in the presence of something ancient and massive.&nbsp; I felt it was the most intelligent thing that has ever existed.&nbsp; All of humankind's knowledge was just a drop in its ocean of vast experience and wisdom.&nbsp; &nbsp;It was feeding me information at a rate I was unable to process.&nbsp; Its intention wasn't for me to understand, but to impress upon me how MUCH it was.&nbsp; I felt humbled and small to be even aware of it.It told me or I thought the words "learn about me".&nbsp; Learn about shroms?&nbsp; Also it told me "you will dedicate much of your life to this".&nbsp; Whoah.. man... I was just trying to get a little high at a birthday party, this was a bit much.&nbsp;&nbsp;It was around 9 a.m. before it let me go to sleep.&nbsp; I was rambling all night long to my friends trying to express what I was downloading.&nbsp; They were very cool to look after me as I must have sounded crazy.Not the experience I was expecting.&nbsp;&nbsp;That month, I bought a bunch of mushrooms, gave it out to people, and asked them to tell me what happened.&nbsp; Then one day I was introduced to the sacred shroom experience and that is when I found my purpose.Since then we have hosted a sacred experience roughly every 10 days no matter where we were for a year and treated it like a medical research project.That effort culminated in what you are reading now and the creation of this website.- VC and Jovy
